Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Strengthening Strategic Partnership: Introductory Visit Between Taawon and the Dutch Ambassador in Palestine"
Dr. Tareq Emtairah, Director General of Taawon, had an introductory meeting with Dutch Ambassador to Palestine, Michel Rentenaar, to discuss the continuation of the strategic partnership with the Netherlands. Dr. Emtairah provided a comprehensive overview of Taawon’s work since its inception, with a focus on diverse programs in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza. He highlighted Taawon’s emergency interventions in Gaza in response to the current attack and the Gaza Orphan Care Program.
