
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by Minister Dr. Amjad Barham, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Taawon, represented by Ahmed ElFarra on behalf of Director General Dr. Tareq Emtairah and the Palestinian Academy for Science and Technology, represented by its President Dr. Marwan Awartani, . The partnership aims to enhance and advance STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, supporting sustainable development in Palestine's education sector.
During the signing ceremony, Minister Barham emphasized that the agreement aligns with the Ministry's ongoing efforts to transform the Palestinian education system by integrating STEAM concepts. He noted that the Ministry is committed to equipping both teachers and students with essential tools for the future, fostering creativity and innovation in schools, and shaping a generation capable of competing and contributing to the growth of the educational process, despite the challenging circumstances.
Dr. Awartani, on his part, described the partnership as a historic and strategic step toward building a holistic educational system that emphasizes research, experimentation, and creativity. He stressed that investment in integrated education strengthens students' critical thinking and innovation skills, laying the foundation for a robust scientific future.
ElFarra, representing Taawon, highlighted the significance of collaboration between civil society, government, and academic institutions. He noted that this agreement provides an opportunity to empower both youth and educators, underscoring Taawon’s belief that developing teachers' skills and unleashing students' potential is key to creating an inspiring and dynamic educational environment, despite the ongoing challenges.
