Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

Bank of Jordan Renews Its Membership with Taawon for the 10th Consecutive Year

Ramallah – Bank of Jordan has renewed its membership with Taawon, providing generous support for its various programs as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in Palestinian communities.

Since 2015, Bank of Jordan has strengthened its partnership with Taawon, recognizing the organization’s vital role and the impact of its programs across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, Gaza, the 1948 territories, and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Interventions of the "Noor" Program for Gaza Orphans up to January 2025

At the onset of the war on Gaza in 2023, Taawon, in partnership with Bank of Palestine Group, launched the third phase of its orphan care program, "Noor." The program aims to provide comprehensive support to 20,000 children who lost one or both parents due to the war on Gaza in 2023-2024. Spanning 18 years, with an estimated budget of $378 million, Noor is designed to ensure orphans live with dignity while safeguarding their rights to education, healthcare, psychological support, and social care.
