Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

Taawon and Agricultural Relief Sign Agreement to Support the Resilience of Rural Families in the West Bank
Last week, Taawon and the Agricultural Development Association - PARC signed an agreement aimed at enhancing the resilience of 5,382 Palestinians living in rural communities in the West Bank by improving their income by 10% through livelihood interventions and human rights protection. The project also seeks to improve the income of 100 women-headed households in 10 targeted communities. Funded by Danish Muslim Aid, this initiative will strengthen the capacity of Palestinian families living in rural areas to withstand challenges through targeted livelihood interventions.
Urgent Humanitarian Relief for Families in Jenin
Taawon distributed 200 food parcels to families in Jenin Camp and the Eastern Neighborhood in partnership with the People’s Committee of Jenin Camp. This initiative is part of our emergency support efforts for Jenin, responding to the recent escalation and the urgent needs of its residents.
Agreement to Support Gaza's Orphans: Annual Grant from Taawon Foundation and Munib and Angela Masri Foundation for the 'Noor' Program
Taawon and the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation have signed an agreement to provide an annual grant in support of Taawon’s Noor Program—Gaza Orphans Care. The agreement was signed at Taawon’s headquarters in Amman by Dr. Tareq Emtairah, Director General of Taawon, and Mr. Munib R. Masri, Founder of the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation and Co-Founder and Honorary President of Taawon.
Launch of the 'Juthoorna' Campaign to Raise Awareness and Protect Palestinian Heritage
Taawon launches the 'Our Roots' (Jothorona) campaign to raise awareness about the importance of preserving historical landmarks through cultural activities at over 15 heritage sites. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, other relevant ministries, local civil society organizations, local authorities, and the private sector, with support from UNDP/PAPP through the TARABOT Palestine Programme.

First Batch of Operational Support Arrives at Gaza Municipality to Sustain Water and Sanitation Services
Supporting the steadfastness of our people in Gaza, the first batch of operational aid has been delivered to Gaza Municipality. This delivery includes spare parts for engineering machinery, generators for powering water wells and sewage pumping stations, and essential components for water networks, which technical teams will use to repair infrastructure damaged by attacks on Gaza City's water and sewage systems. This initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Palestinian Environmental Friends (PEF).
