Taawon Distributes 1,290 Food Parcels and Provides Vital Support to Hospitals in the West Bank

In response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the West Bank, Taawon has launched an urgent relief campaign under the slogan “Together, We Persevere.” As part of the initiative, 1,290 food parcels have been distributed to families who have been displaced and severely affected by the ongoing aggression. This distribution includes 790 parcels delivered to the families in Jenin Refugee Camp, funded by Plan International, 250 parcels to families in Nour Shams Refugee Camp in Tulkarem, and an additional 250 parcels to Al-Fara'a Refugee Camp in Tubas, all supported directly by Taawon. The goal of this relief effort is to ease the suffering of families who are enduring increasingly harsh living conditions.

Beyond food assistance, the campaign also extended support to hospitals and healthcare centers across the West Bank. Vital medical supplies and essential medicines were provided to ensure uninterrupted care for the injured and those in need during this critical time.

The West Bank is currently grappling with an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, especially in the northern governorates and refugee camps in Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarem. Since the escalation of military operations on October 7, 2023, the situation has deteriorated rapidly, with over 40,000 individuals forced to flee their homes, many of them in the midst of severe winter weather.

Taawon remains steadfast in its commitment to support the people of the West Bank, pledging to continue its relief efforts and provide the necessary aid and medical care. Through collective resilience, we stand together to face these challenges and work towards overcoming this difficult period.
