Interventions of the "Noor" Program for Gaza Orphans up to January 2025

At the onset of the war on Gaza in 2023, Taawon, in partnership with Bank of Palestine Group, launched the third phase of its orphan care program, "Noor." The program aims to provide comprehensive support to 20,000 children who lost one or both parents due to the war on Gaza in 2023-2024. Spanning 18 years, with an estimated budget of $378 million, Noor is designed to ensure orphans live with dignity while safeguarding their rights to education, healthcare, psychological support, and social care.

The Noor program delivers a comprehensive package of services, including food aid, clothing, and essential supplies. In its first year, Below are our interventions up to January 2025:

Additionally, $60 million was secured to fund Noor’s initiatives, with ongoing efforts to mobilize additional resources to ensure the program’s sustainability.
