Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Strengthening Partnership in Education: A delegation from the Ministry of Education congratulates the new Director General of Taawon Foundation.
A delegation from the Ministry of Education visited Taawon to welcome Dr. Tareq Mtireh, the new Director General, and congratulate him on his new position. During the meeting, aspects of the partnership were reviewed to strengthen the education sector in Palestine, in alignment with the Ministry's national strategy and Taawon’s strategy.
