Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Providing clean water: Distributing 1,000 cubic meters to support more than 3,700 displaced families in Gaza.
Funded by Danish Muslim Aid, 500 cubic meters of clean drinking water were distributed to 1,525 displaced families in Northern Gaza and another cubic meters to 2,180 families in Central Gaza, in partnership with the Union of Agricultural Work Committees.
