Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Strengthening Collaboration: Dr. Tareq Mtireh meets with partner organizations to discuss needs and future directions.
Over the past three days, Dr. Tareq Mtireh, Director General of Taawon, welcomed delegations comprising general directors of partner organizations. Dr. Mtireh shared Taawon's strategic directions with the partners and explored the current and future needs of civil society organizations.
