Palestinian Ministry of Education and Taawon Conclude Training for the STEM-Supportive School Project
The Palestinian Ministry of Education, in partnership with Taawon and with technical training support from the Omnia Education Partnership in Finland, has successfully concluded the training program for the “STEM-Supportive School” project. The initiative is part of joint efforts to strengthen quality education in Palestine in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The program included a series of specialized training modules aimed at building the capacities of educational staff and enhancing school learning environments. The trainings focused on integrating STEM approaches into curricula and teaching methodologies in line with internationally recognized standards and best practices. They were complemented by structured technical follow-up, which helped increase school readiness and supported the adoption of innovative, engaging learning approaches.
As a result of this collaborative effort, 18 Palestinian schools were accredited as STEM Schools. Twelve schools received Level One accreditation, while six schools achieved the advanced Level Two accreditation, reflecting the participating schools’ strong commitment to educational quality and excellence.
This achievement marks an important step forward in advancing quality education in Palestine and highlights the positive impact of partnership between the public and civil society sectors in strengthening the education system and equipping students with future-ready skills.
