ABOUT TAAWON

For Palestine.
We Persevere.
We Thrive.

Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

From Innovation to Incubation: Six Projects Advance to the Second Phase of AgriLeap

Taawon (Welfare Association), in collaboration with the Business and Technology Incubator (BCITE) at Al-Quds University, has concluded the first phase of AgriLeap Agricultural Innovation, implemented under the Innovation and Climate-Smart Agriculture activity of the Water, Land and Agricultural Roads Investment Program (WLRI), with support from the Netherlands Representative Office in Palestine. Six ideas were selected to advance to the incubation phase, where they will continue to be developed into practical and sustainable agricultural solutions.

Roots of Resilience: Taawon and Danish Muslim Aid Support Agricultural Recovery in North Gaza

Farmers in North Gaza have long sustained the region's agricultural backbone, cultivating land, managing water resources, and maintaining local food supply chains despite successive disruptions. Building on this existing capacity, Taawon continues its longstanding work to strengthen Palestinian resilience by supporting agricultural livelihoods, community resilience, and food security across the region.
