Taawon has signed two agreements with the Canadian Palestinian Professional Foundation (CPPF). The first establishes a strategic framework for joint planning, coordination, fundraising, and the implementation of initiatives supporting Palestinian students in Palestine and Lebanon. This partnership lays the groundwork for broader, long-term collaboration in the education sector.
The second agreement is part of Taawon’s ISNAD Higher Education Support Initiative, launched in response to the aggression on Gaza and its devastating impact on the academic sector. The project will cover the remaining tuition fees for 154 nursing students at the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza. By covering these costs, the initiative enables students to receive their diplomas and begin working immediately in a healthcare system struggling under the weight of destruction and severe resource shortages.
This collaboration reflects Taawon’s unwavering commitment to the right to education while addressing one of Gaza’s most urgent needs: access to healthcare. As hospitals operate beyond capacity, medical teams are exhausted, and health infrastructure lies in ruins, this intervention plays a crucial role in restoring essential services. In addition to its educational focus, the initiative invests in Palestinian human capital, empowering youth to lead efforts in healing, recovery, and rebuilding their communities.
