Palestinian Mathematics Olympiad Concludes at Al-Istiqlal University

After weeks of learning, challenge, and discovery, the Palestinian Mathematics Olympiad reached its final stage with a winter camp hosted by Al-Istiqlal University. The Olympiad was implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Taawon, and the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology.
Fifty-three students from grades ten and eleven took part in this final stage, bringing together some of the most promising young mathematical minds from across Palestine. From this group, twelve students will be selected to represent Palestine in regional and international mathematics Olympiads.
Throughout the week, the winter camp offered interactive training sessions and collaborative learning spaces that encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Participants highlighted the importance of nurturing scientific talent within schools and creating pathways that allow students’ abilities to grow and flourish, both locally and internationally.
Supervised by the General Directorate of Creativity and Excellence, the Palestinian Mathematics Olympiad continues to affirm the value of investing in young minds, reinforcing mathematics not only as an academic discipline, but as a foundation for innovation, confidence, and future opportunity.
