Taawon took part in the Third Jerusalem Youth Forum, organized by the Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society and funded by Taawon and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This year's forum focused on "Volunteering and Youth Initiatives in Jerusalem," exploring the main challenges faced by youth in volunteer work across the city. The forum was held at the Notre Dame Hotel in Jerusalem, attended by more than 150 participants, including officials, university students, civil society organizations, and youth groups.
The forum honored youth initiatives submitted by young leaders to the Burj Al-Luqluq Society and included the signing of agreements to support the winning initiatives. Taawon was also recognized for its impactful role in supporting the youth sector and active institutions in Jerusalem, reinforcing efforts to empower Jerusalemite youth and strengthen their engagement in society.
Representing Taawon at the forum were Eng. Rami Mushasha, Jerusalem Programs Manager, and Mr. Rami Masri, alongside Mr. Shrutidhar Tripathi, Deputy Representative and Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator at the UNFPA, and Ms. Sima Alami, Director of Youth Programs. Eng. Rami Mushasha delivered an address discussing Taawon’s dedication to promoting volunteerism and supporting initiatives that enhance youth involvement in Jerusalem, contributing to a more sustainable future for the community.
