دورة متخصصة في ترميم وإدارة المواقع التاريخية في نابلس

The Old City of Jerusalem Revitalization Program (OCJRP) with a generous fund from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and in partnership with An-Najah Unversity in Nablus, have launched a core course on “Site Management Planning and Management of Conservation Projects for professionals“Beith Al-Amad in the old city of Nablus on the 1st of March 2018. This course comes in line with the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and Taawon’s mission to preserving Palestinian heritage and identity, and support the living culture and build civil society.

The main objective of this course is to enhance the capacity of architects, engineers and contractors working in the restoration field. The course aims to improve their skills and knowledge in restoration techniques according to international standards in architectural conservation.

Manar Barham, a course participant, expressed her appreciation for organizing the course by saying  I was very pleased when such a valuable course was announced in Nablus. I registrated immediately, and I am sure I will gain a lot of knowledge in the field of conservation of the architectural heritage which will help me in my profession.

 

During this year I trained and worked in the field of conservation of historical building with OCJRP, and today I am here in this course and I am confident this course will give me the chance to learn more form local and international experts.

 

I believed that it is our responsility to protect our identity and preseving our cultural heritage from damage and  loss for future generations.”
