In response to the current conditions imposed by the spread of the Corona pandemic and the resulting required urgent action, Taawon launched "Palestine Calling" campaign as a continuation of its efforts in supporting our people and enhancing the health sector's preparedness in the face of this pandemic.
The campaign aims to provide the basic needs of food and health care materials for marginalized families, and families suffering from difficult living conditions, or who have lost their source of income. It also seeks to attract support to enhance the health sector’s readiness, healthy preventive practices, and the provision of diagnostic and medical care services to citizens.
Taawon’s campaign will cover all of its operating areas; West Bank including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, Taawon launched "Together We Can” campaign to support our people in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon suffering from deteriorating living conditions. This campaign also aims to provide the basic needs of food and health care materials and seeks to reach more than ten thousand families.
Taawon, through its Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, and all institutional committees and executive bodies are closely monitoring the developments related to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Taawon works in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, social institutions, and relevant authorities. Taawon affirms its readiness to employ all its available resources to serve our country and our people to overcome the crisis. It will continue to work towards contributing to the provision of all needs as it efficiently deploys all its available resources.
During these times of crises, joint efforts enable us to help Palestine and its people overcome the crisis safely, as Taawon implements its interventions within the context of the Palestinian national development plan, and general national directives for working in emergency situations, and in coordination with national, as well as international institutions and the private sector.
Taawon will issue periodic reports on the progress of the campaign, summarizing its interventions and the geographical areas covered.
