Taawon and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have signed an agreement to support and fund development projects in Palestine with a total of seven and a quarter million US dollars in grant funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and the Al-Aqsa Fund. Taawon and the IDB will supervise the implementation of the grant to support the civil society in Palestine.
Dr. Tafeeda Al Jarbawi stressed the importance of the strategic partnership and the continuous support of the funds in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people. She also appreciated the trust they have invested in Taawon, which provides developmental support through the implementation of the programs.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Tafeeda Al-Jarbawi, Director General of Taawon, in the presence of Eng. Hani Abu Diab, Advisor to the Islamic Development Bank in Palestine. The grants are aimed at supporting community, health, and rural development that touches the lives of Palestinians, especially in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, including rehabilitation schools for those with special needs and developing the creative capacities of children with autism. In addition, the grant will support economic projects for women, and the health sector by providing hospitals with necessary medical equipment.
