The third steering committee meeting for the "Water, Land, and Agricultural Roads Investment program” took place on September 24, 2024, at the headquarters of Taawon (Welfare Association) in Ramallah, marking the beginning of the program's third year. The program is funded by the Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Palestine, managed by Taawon, and implemented by the Land Research Center (LRC) and the Palestinian Hydrology Group (PHG), in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Suhier Odeh, Taawon's West Bank Programs Manager, and Mrs. Erin Kuipers, the Second Secretary of Economic Development at the Netherlands Representative Office in Palestine. Both attendees expressed their continued commitment to supporting sustainable agricultural development in Palestine.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, the Palestinian Water Authority, and the partner organizations LRC and PHG. As members of the steering committee, they discussed the roadmap for the coming year and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between all stakeholders to ensure the program’s success.

Mahmoud Driaat, the Project Manager, presented a comprehensive overview of the program’s achievements over the past two years, highlighting the progress made in improving agricultural infrastructure and water management in Palestine. Additionally, partner organizations LRC and PHG presented their detailed annual work plans for the upcoming third year, focusing on further advancing the program's objectives.

The "Water, Land, and Agricultural Roads Investment program" aims to enhance sustainable agricultural practices, improve water resource management, and create better infrastructure for farmers in Palestine, contributing to food security and economic development in rural areas.
