Overall aim: To respond rapidly and effectively for the relief of Palestinians facing life-threatening emergency conditions.

6.jpgAs a result of continued Israeli military occupation, Palestinian society lives in a state of chronic emergency where the protection, well-being and survival of individuals, families and communities is continuously at risk. Military incursions, sieges, demolition of houses and public properties, severe shortages in food and medications and other life essentials, loss of livelihoods, skyrocketing unemployment, and deep poverty are a daily reality for Palestinian communities across the WBGS. In recent years, access for international humanitarian organizations has also deteriorated significantly due to the proliferation of checkpoints, closures and increasingly restrictive procedures at border crossings and check points. In Lebanon, Palestinians also face crisis conditions, most recently due to the latest war with Israel and the siege of Nahr El-Bared Refugee Camp. Ensuring the survival, protection and dignity of those living in emergency conditions through rapid and effective response remains an overall priority for the WA.
